Two Weeks of "Firsts"

The past two weeks have flown by, I can't believe we've already been home that long. We've done a lot for the first time: first sponge bath, first real bath, first doctor visit, first Easter, first birthday for Teague as a Dad, and first walk around the neighborhood! We've also enjoyed lots of visitors since we've gotten home and Owen has enjoyed meeting all of his wonderful family and friends!

Here are some highlights:

Being admired by his cousins Carter, Meghan and Collin for the first time and being held by Carter, Meghan and Uncle Chris. It was the first time we'd had the whole family to our house for a visit and we had a great time!

First visit with Annalisa after her and Dave got back from Hawaii, we had to pry him out of her arms :)

Here is a shot of Owen first thing in the morning when he is at his happiest and most alert. He sleeps in these "gowns" most of this time since they have cuffs for his hands, even though they are way too big for him. We figured out after two nights of him having to sleep on us that he needed to have his hands cuffed or he would never sleep. If they are free, they are flailing around his face, in his mouth, or scratching his face. He has his arms up like this and his hands up at his cheeks 90% of the day. He looks way bigger than he really is in this picture, remember that his legs go about halfway down the actual length of the gown!

Here is a shot with his monkey feet, I love the sleepers with the footies.

His expressions are priceless, we can just sit and stare at him all day. He goes from smiling to this grumpy old man face constantly.

Sitting up, kind of, on the couch watching the Masters, so happy to see Mickelson win!

This angle gives a better perspective of his size...

Having a great conversation with Mom.

Post-sponge bath, which he actually seemed to enjoy. Warming up in his Indiana towel from Susan and Ryan, Go Hoosiers!

Afternoon siesta on mom's lap, love his little mouth!

First Easter outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Avey, who visited on Easter and Teague's birthday to cook us dinner and hang out for the night.

And finally, a video of Owen getting his peach fuzz washed after his first sponge bath:
