- We spent our 4th annual 4th of July weekend at Lake Tippecanoe with the Ash family and had a blast. Owen took his first boat ride, wore his first bathing suit and first pair of sunglasses, held hands with a girl for the first time, and successfully slept in a crib that was not his own.
- We went to Borgo and Jessica's wedding last weekend and had a blast! Owen stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Avey for the first time and everything went well. I learned that it's not as fun to stay out until 3am when you have to wake up for a 4am feeding!! But it was great to catch up with so many of our friends.
- I went back to work on June 21st so just finished my first official month back at work. It's been an adjustment trying to balance everything that needs to get done, but overall it's been a positive experience all around. Owen seems to love daycare and is smiling every time I drop him off and pick him up. His teachers say that he pretty much smiles at anyone that talks to him and one of the little girls already has a serious crush. He talks and smiles all the time and is finally taking a long nap while he's there.
- Owen is now sleeping 12 hours a night most nights, with an 8 to 9 hour stretch in there. It's been amazing, I pinch myself at what a good sleeper he is and hope it continues. We just set up our video monitor and it's both hilarious and reassuring to be able to watch him sleep at night. In the morning, he wakes up smiling and talking to the camera and it is the cutest thing you've ever seen!
- My sister has decided to adopt Tina back from us and she officially became a resident of Indianapolis, IN as of July 10th. We were at a point where she was a lot of responsibility with Owen around and couple that with the massive shedding that Owen was going to start crawling through, the barking in the backyard, the millions of times we tripped over her while carrying Owen, and the fact that Katie and Adam really wanted a dog and it was a win-win for everyone. We miss her, but know she is having more fun and getting the attention she needs with her new mom and dad.
That's all I can think of for now, time to scramble to clean the house before Katie arrives for the weekend! Here are some pictures from the past few months. By the way, if you ever need your Owen fix, use the link on the right-hand side of the page to his online web album, I try to put pictures and videos out there every week or two.

You got rid of your dog and your baby sleeps through the night....I am SO jealous right now. Glad your adjusting to being back at work. It's so hard trying to find time to do everything. You'll figure it out and it gets easier.
Owen is such a happy baby! I bet everyone at school loves him and takes great care of him.
