End of Summer Update

I say it every time, but I really don't know how nearly a month goes by between posts. Owen is almost 6 months old and my last post was about 4 weeks ago, summer is nearly over and my favorite season is upon us!  Here are a few highlights from the past month and the close of summer:

Owen experienced his first Labor Day weekend in Grand Beach, MI and was the hit of the party.  We survived two nights away from home, even while battling his second cold of the summer.  The BOB fared well on the beach (world's best stroller) and we also managed to give Owen his first sunburn :(  Which luckily went away by the next day but stuck around long enough to make us feel like the best parents ever.  Owen had a great time with the Labor Day crew and we had a blast as usual.

We had our first visit from Aunt Molly who moved to Dallas last year and Owen was so excited to finally meet her.  We spent the entire night catching up, drinking wine and eating sushi, just like old times.  The first picture with Aunt Al is my favorite, apparently he couldn't get a word in and had to take matters into his own hands :)

We had our first trip with Owen up to Green Lake, WI with the Livermore's and had a perfect, relaxing weekend together, despite Owen being a little under the weather (again).  Ellie is 5 weeks younger than Owen and they enjoyed hanging out together, going for walks, and cruising around Green Lake.

Owen loves the exersaucer now and looks so big when he's in it...as do his eyebrows.

He's also getting much better with the cereal and can eat a whole serving in one sitting.  (i.e. 1 tablespoon!)

And last but certainly not least, my favorite pictures of recent weeks.  Owen truly loves reading books already and will be completely absorbed in the 1 or 2 books we can get through before bed time before he conks out around 6pm.
